Sitting upon a hill in an idyllic Kent village is Castle View - a charming family home that really does have a castle view. It’s a beautiful renovation project, styled to perfection with subtle luxuries and quirky details.

It’s such a pleasure revisiting our customers and I’m always so excited to see how the living-spaces have been dressed and decorated, adding touches of personality and flair. After all, these are spaces that have been designed and made by our clever team. A team which we are very proud of. Seeing the journey from initial planning to finished piece is so rewarding. Plus, being a home interior enthusiast, stepping into such gorgeous homes really doesn’t feel like ‘work’ at all.

Our Castle View Kitchen is a bold room with a really beautiful understated elegance. From its open shelving, styled with earthy tones; to its fresh colour palette and wooden flooring, the space is balanced and calm, creating such a welcoming feel.

Stepping in, family and guests are greeted by the most magnificent natural light from the stylish floor-to-ceiling windows, echoing the symmetry of the kitchen that it beams upon. The room is uplifting; the perfect spot to feel inspired and motivated, but also relaxed.

The kitchen is made up of lots of components that contribute to its overall charm.

Our clients opted for classic simple Shaker-style cabinetry - a timeless choice that really lends itself to bolder colours. We love the blue that’s been chosen here, don’t you? The handcrafted custom-made cabinetry is uncomplicated and modest, perfectly complementing the rest of the house. Each solid oak drawer is beautifully dovetailed and one features a bespoke cutlery divider and knife block, too!

The cabinetry is dressed with Buster and Punch handles, adding a touch of glamour and sophistication to the simplicity of the room. I don’t think the images do the handles full justice - they really are so pretty and modern.

Two Abode White Granite sinks take centre stage within the island, alongside a stainless steel Quooker Flex Boiling Hot Water Tap. I really like this idea. The kitchen wouldn’t suit a double farmhouse style sink, so this contemporary option works really well. The Quooker Tap is a practical, time, water and energy efficient choice - especially for a family with young children. It has a number of important safety features too, including a childproof handle.

The sleek white Quartz worktop and splash back, with its stunning understated grain running throughout, brings opulence to the space. Quartz is super durable too, which means it’s another popular choice for busy families with children!

Castle View kitchen is home to an array of appliances, each carefully chosen to suit our customers and their daily requirements. A Neff microwave and Caple wine cooler are both cleverly integrated within the island, whilst a Siemens dishwasher is seamlessly incorporated within the run of cabinetry next to the large family-friendly freestanding fridge-freezer. But, it’s the Rangemaster that really adds to the overall impressiveness of the space. Traditional, yet effortlessly modern!

I really love this kitchen. I don’t tend to have favourites, but Castle View really is up their with my most memorable kitchens of 2020. It just feels so balanced and beautiful, with the most lovely finishing touches. We’re so grateful that we were able to go back and take some snaps to show you all. As always, a huge thank you to our wonderful client!
