Goodbye, 2020!
As 2020 comes to an end, I think many of us will be happily waving goodbye to it. And, we’ll definitely all be hoping that 2021 brings positivity, health, calmness and togetherness. We certainly wish this for you, our valued readers. We hope that you are soon reunited with loved ones and that your homes are soon filled with the noises of excited family and friends. Because, whilst our homes have been our trusty saviours and a safe place in which to seek comfort, we now long for them to be restored with love and light from the outside world. We hope your kitchens once again provide the perfect stage for a performance of dinner parties, coffee mornings, games nights and mummy meetings. Of course, we’re all looking forward to getting out too! That’s definitely needed. But, home really is where the heart is and without friends and family to host for, your safe-space is no doubt just a little too quiet right now. Plus, you probably cannot wait to show off all the lock-down redecorating you’re so very proud of!
We wanted to take the time to reflect on the year we’re saying goodbye to and thank those who have continued to support us - our wonderful customers, team and suppliers - thank you. In the midst of this unusual storm we’ve all found ourselves in, here at Collins Bespoke, our showroom grew, our team grew and we feel so lucky to have still seen many beautiful designs come to life.
Unfortunately, given the circumstances, we haven’t been able to get many snaps of our kitchen installs this year. Lots of our customers are going through full renovations too and sometimes it can take a little while before they’re ready for photos. Nevertheless, we really have seen some stunning projects and we cannot wait to them show off in 2021. From a colour-stained oak-ply kitchen; to a quirky open-plan living space with a hanging chair; it’s been a wonderfully varied year. Here are some of the ones we have managed to snap and we PROMISE more photos are on the way!
Our Castle View kitchen is beautiful and understated. From its open shelving, styled with earthy tones, to its fresh colour palette, the space is balanced and calm, creating a the most welcoming feel. Castle View features a practical Quartz worktop and splashback with a sophisticated veining, alongside contemporary Buster & Punch handles, which accentuate the opulence of the room. And, for those really hot days - or any day - a Caple wine/drinks cooler has been cleverly integrated within the central island.
“I absolutely love our new kitchen from Collins Bespoke! The whole team are so friendly, and the process of designing our dream kitchen was smooth and enjoyable. We were so lucky to have our kitchen finished just before lockdown and it has been an amazing space for us to live and work in. It is the hub to our home and our favourite room. Thank you to everyone at Collins Bespoke!”
“Exceptional service and craftmanship. At every stage the attention to detail is evident. Nick and his team have been an absolute pleasure to work with, even in these difficult covid times, they have performed throughout, always keeping us informed and working to schedule. A very professional team and we now have a stunning kitchen and we could not be happier. Highly recommended. Thank you to Nick, Tom and Dave, to mention a few.”
Without doubt, our greatest success of 2020 was the opening of our Surrenden Manor Showroom. Unfortunately, we’ve not been able to have the celebration and grand opening that is so rightly deserved, but, that can wait. And, rest assured, when we can, we WILL party. Most importantly, it’s here and is providing the perfect inspirational platform to begin a handmade kitchen journey. It’s truly a pleasure to work in. With Nick’s creative vision and the hard work of him and our team, we have seen the building transform from old offices, to an empty shell and rubble, into something really quite astonishing. And, a show space which is already gaining significate attention and admiration. A showroom which we could not be more proud of.
Surrenden Manor is home to three popular kitchen styles. With its pretty clean lines and simplicity, you’ll be greeted by our bright and modest Shaker kitchen and boot room. The natural light makes it the ideal spot to soak up inspiration and discuss your new bespoke project. Next, step through into our luxurious Beaded-Shaker. Its finer detail and intricate mouldings breaks slightly from the Shaker’s modesty, adding grandeur and opulence to the showroom. And, if your heart is set on something a little different, you can peruse our impressive Distinguished Collection. The vibrant style brings a contemporary twist to the more traditional trends.
We (and our MAGNIFICENT coffee machine) look forward to safely welcoming you in 2021.
Two new members of staff have joined Team CB this year - meet Clinton and Ross! Clinton is now part of our paint-spraying team and Ross is our new apprentice. We’re so pleased to have them on board. We are so happy to have a growing community here at Collins Bespoke. A community built on solid foundations and made up of incredibly talented individuals, each highly skilled, and - of course, undoubtedly appreciated. During these difficult times, we are grateful to be together as work colleagues and friends.
We are a young, energetic and growing company, and, with 2021 still looking so prosperous and busy for us, we may have a place for you. We are always excited to hear from talented designers, cabinet-makers, joiners and installers who would like to work with us. So, if you’re interested in working for a luxury interiors company, with quality and design at its core, do send your CV over to: info@collinsbespoke.com .
We welcome dedicated applicants with open (but always a metre apart!) arms.
So, what else happened here?
