Choosing a Handmade Kitchen
Here at Collins Bespoke, we pride ourselves on designing and creating thoroughly bespoke, handmade kitchens. And, (without blowing our own trumpet) we know we do it really well. Many of you already know the benefits of bespoke. But, sometimes, before our customers visit our showroom, they call first and ask us what makes our kitchens different, and why they should choose handmade?
Not only are handmade kitchens so very beautiful, they are definitely worth the investment, too.
Here’s why:
Handmade kitchens are built to fit a room
Many of our clients choose us because they want a kitchen that is made specifically for them – that is not factory-replicated or limited to boxes and standard sizes. Every single kitchen made is designed with it’s client – you – in mind. This means customers won’t be left with any wasted space in unusual areas.
And, a Collins Bespoke handmade kitchen comes with a full design service.
From painted finish and shade, to handle choice and handle placement; from cabinetry styles – Shaker, Beaded Shaker or Modern – to where best to integrate the ovens, or coffee machines! Our designers are meticulous about presenting to you all of these options. They produce wonderful images and plans, so you can visualize your kitchen and decide how they can make your kitchen work best for you.
Likewise, they work with spaces – and, are inspired by them. Unique rooms, focal points, unusual spaces – like we said, our kitchens are far from standardised.
See – 100% bespoke. No set designs - each kitchen totally unique to its owner. Which really is what makes a handmade kitchen and Collins Bespoke different, and – that extra bit more special. Custom-made cabinetry: kitchens – ready to entertain family life, whilst being one of a kind.
Handmade kitchens are built to last
Handmade kitchens are crafted by skilled cabinet makers , who have a real passion for creating beautiful bespoke pieces out of solid wood. We are proud of our team here at Collins Bespoke and the proof is in their gorgeous, gorgeous work. Handmade kitchens are made from only the best materials, including oak and walnut, which truly stand the test of time, whilst maintaining their beauty and durability over the years.
Unlike other mass-produced kitchens, handmade kitchens are designed to last a life time. A Collins Bespoke kitchen is, of course, a beautiful piece of painted furniture, and whilst we have faith in our product - we really care about our customers, so should they need it, all of our kitchens come with a touch-up and aftercare service.
Handmade kitchens are exceptional quality - it’s that simple.
Handmade kitchens are sustainable and local
In this day and age, it’s more important than ever to go local. And, I think recently, that has become even more apparent. At Collins Bespoke, we do all we can to support Kent-based business - we love having a showroom larder stocked with Kent-based goodies, too!
The beauty of choosing a handmade kitchen is that it will be British manufactured. We source as much as we can from other British companies and have close relationships with local stonemasons. Where possible, we only use local timber merchants. In addition to this, we use remaining oak, walnut and other timbers used to make and sell chopping blocks. We operate a minimal wastage working scheme and any waste we can reuse or recycle, we use to fuel our workshop - and soon, our new showroom!
The less mass-produced, the better. Why? Well, the shorter the distance that products have travelled, ultimately lessens the carbon footprint, making a Collins Bespoke kitchen more sustainable.
Of course, it goes without saying that if you’re investing in a handmade bespoke kitchen, then you can choose exactly what you want to go into it. From deep drawer storage and cutlery dividers, to mantle pockets and integrated recycling systems - the space will be unique to you and your lifestyle.
We believe our kitchens speak for themselves, which is why we encourage you, and all of our customers to visit our showroom and feel the quality and see the finishes of our beautiful cabinetry.
Currently, due to Covid-19, our lovely showroom in Bethersden is closed. However, buzz us an email and we’ll happily pop one of our brochures in the post for you! We’re so looking forward to opening our doors again and welcoming you all to our brand new Surrenden Manor Showroom very soon.
